UPDATE- Well I downloaded a Lady Gaga song it was an original not a knock off version and the text popped up perfectly in sync. I just wish u didnt have to pay so much for the songs, .99 each basically. I had already bought the album but of course this had the
main vocals stripped out. It would be cool if you could fade them in a little, especially the way I sing lol. The app has potential, would definitely
be fun with a group.

It seems like this should come with a few songs...even if they were royalty free oldies like "on top of old smoky" (just an example) or somethin to get you started.
And being able to preview and actually hear it before buying it would be nice.
And I have a karaoke disc I bought in the past it would be cool if I could import it...anyway havent spent my one credit yet will
update this review once I
do.
Not sure why the others users arent impressed, but this is the way to go! It worked flawlessly for me!
First off ... Im not a Karaoke god, but we had a blast the other day at a friends house singing Karaoke!! SO, I found this little app and started downloading songs to try it out (wasnt expecting much as I was merely bored). Come to find out, it literally uses the same files that youd find on a professional Karaoke CD. I went to a few sites to build my own little custom Karaoke CD (to see how much itd run me) and they all charged 3 bucks for the same songs ... WTH! If you were to buy one on demand youd pay no more than 2 bucks per song!!
You could EASILY run your own little Karaoke business at a club or at home if you purchase the Audio/Video cable and plug ya iPod into a PA system with an external Monitor and some mics of course!!! EXCELLENT deal. The fact that you can instantly download songs on demand is huge! You could very well re-write the Karaoke profession with this if you were looking to get into the field. PFFT, Im all over it! That buddy of mine will crap his pants when he finds out I can plug my iPod (3rd gen. OS4) into his mixer and monitor and run it!
The amount of songs they had were unreal! I tried some songs that I figured theyd never have (cuz my buddy didnt have em) and sure enough they have them! Its free, so you have to try it out! I paid 4 bucks for 2 songs and they let me choose one more for free! Nice app. One complaint ... add the ability to adjust the pitch (+/- button somewhere ... Nice.
I havent tried purchasing songs through this app and I dont plan to, so Im not reviewing it on that basis. I have my own large library of MP3+G zip files (ripped from karaoke CDs and downloaded from the Internet) and all I really want is a good iOS app to play them. If thats what youre after, trust me this is the app you need. Ive tried many others, including Karaoke Player, Karaoke Anywhere HD, and Karaoke Party HD, to name a few. I can make playlists, search for songs, and skip forward/back in 10-second intervals within a song, and the interface is clear and easy to use. It even separates the artist and track names in the song listing based on the way my zip files are named ("artist - trackname"). If it supported landscape mode in song list view, I wouldnt have any complaints.
Ive got the iPad loaded with 10G of karaoke songs. From there by audio cable to a simple Radio Shack 4-channel stereo mixer, to which Ive also attached a couple of Emerson wireless mics. Then from the mixer to a set of VocoPro PV-802 speakers. Done. Karaoke heaven.
Some bad moments
This app should have AirPlay support and at least have one or two free songs to try. Ill pass
Each song costs "credits" which are not cheap. Dont download this crap!
After buying this app, and clicking to purchase some song credits there is no instruction on how to get the songs online. Very poor design interface. Its a waste of time and money. I tried to send a support ticket to tricerasoft but their ticketing system hangs up. I think I just got robbed!
The software does not work correctly after you download songs you must buy. This is a rip off.
Its kind of hard to review this program since they dont give you a single songs to try it out with.
Its not exactly free if you have to go to a website to purchase the songs. It might be a very good program, but since it doesnt come with any songs to try it with as someone previously stated, I wouldnt know.
